    枋山郵局跳脫一般特色郵局只把地方意象或圖騰鑲進建築的方式，直接利用郵局產品便利箱做為建築外觀的主題視覺，便利箱的盒蓋設計成活動式屋頂，每整點開合，便利箱上的和平鴿圖案則換成伯勞鳥，因為枋山鄉是「伯勞鳥的故鄉」。

    除了伯勞鳥外，建築外觀的彩繪還有枋山特產洋蔥和愛文芒果；屋頂採用太陽能板，除了自用外，還能把剩餘的電賣給台電；局裡更有智慧導覽，為遊客或民眾介紹枋山鄉的觀光景點。
